We are a doula team who believes in the natural process of birth and who desires to walk alongside and support families in this powerful journey.
It is truly my honor to witness this life-changing event with parents and their sweet babies. Becoming a parent allows you to experience love in its purest form.
I came to birth work after the births of my own beautiful babies. It amazed me how much there is to know and how little our mainstream culture teaches us. I found myself absorbed in the birth stories of friends and family, and was energized by the raw beauty of birth and the unique capacity each woman has to birth her baby. This passion led me to childbirth education, placenta encapsulation, and work as a birth doula.
I believe my role as a doula is to help you find a sense of calm in yourself so that you can discover your own voice, your own strength, and birth your baby your way.
In 2013 I became an accredited Bradley Method teacher and shortly after trained with DONA to become a birth doula. In my spare time (ha, ha) I love hanging with my amazing hubby, Tony, and our three little loves Ruby, Ryder, and Rosalie. My other passions include skiing, dancing, outdoor festivals, good beer, and time with family and friends.
I’m the mother of four crazy kiddos and wife to my best friend. In addition to being a doula, I am also a Bradley Childbirth instructor and Placenta Encapsulator. In my free time I love cooking, learning about traditional nutrition, using aromatherapy, and studying how holistic healing approaches to birth can help new moms. I also enjoy singing, crafting, and spending time with my large, extended family.
I went into my first two birth experiences with little education and a lack of confidence in advocating for myself. After my second birth, I realized that I wanted to be better prepared to make decisions and have the most peaceful, natural birth process possible, so I decided to learn about natural birth. I was able to have two home births and quickly became passionate about the incredible journey of pregnancy and birth. I’ve seen the strength in women that they never knew they had as they let their body do what it was created to do. I love being able to empower, educate, and encourage parents as they take this journey.
I am passionate about pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Actually, when I was in kindergarten and was asked, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” I answered, “Help mommies have babies!” This work is part of who I am. It is an honor to be part of such an amazing event. I am dedicated to empower the beauty of birth and empower a woman in her birth experience. I believe that a woman’s body is powerful, and I want to support each client in such a way that she feels equipped to have the birth experience she dreams of. I desire to advocate for my clients and create safe and healthy places for them as they work through their transformative pregnancy and birthing process. I want to create opportunities for all families to have a beautiful birth and healthy connection with the child they are delivering. All women deserve compassion at the time of their birth, and all children deserve to be welcomed into this life in an atmosphere of love, hope, and joyful expectancy. When I am not working as a doula you can find me being an Event Coordinator for a local nonprofit, playing outside with my spunky two year old, taking long walks with my husband, or working out. I love adventure, people might call me “crunchy,” and I have a heart for justice.
