Raw Encapsulation Method
We encapsulate using the Raw Method- Your placenta is sliced raw and dehydrated at 165 degrees. After 18-24 hours it is ground and encapsulated for you.
Tincture- a tincture is made by putting a small piece of your placenta in a bottle with 100 proof vodka. The bottle will be given to you, and should be swirled daily for six weeks. After this time you can strain your tincture into a dropper bottle that we provide.Suggested use- 5-8 drops of the tincture under your tongue or in water each day. This process can lengthen the time that your placenta can benefit you postpartum, during your menstrual cycle, and in menopause.

F A Q S
How will you get my placenta?
After the birth you will call or text your encapsulator and she will arrange to come pick it up within a few hours. If it is between the hours of 10pm and 7am we will ask you to store it until the next morning. All Twin Cities hospitals will release placentas though you will need to sign a release. Certain hospitals will allow you to keep it in the refrigerator in your room until the encapsulator can pick it up and in other hospitals they want the placenta removed immediately so you will have to have a doula or friend or family member willing to take it home until we can pick it up. We suggest to bring gallon size freezer bags and a cooler to ensure there is a way to store the placenta and keep it cold no matter what.
Can my placenta be encapsulated if I have had a medicated or c-section birth? What about meconium or Group B strep?
Yes! With all of these situations you can still encapsulate. We can not encapsulate if the mother has an active COVID-19 infection.
If there is a uterine or amniotic infection present, bacterial infection, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis or other STD’s we can not encapsulate. We reserve the right to request medical/lab results
How many pills will I receive?
The raw method generally yields 100-200 pills depending on the size of the placenta.A healthy diet during pregnancy will help your placenta be healthy and just right for you and your baby!
How do I store my capsules?
Keep your capsules in a dark, dry place like a cabinet in your kitchen. Having them out on your nightstand , out of direct sunlight, may help you remember to take them in the early weeks! The freezer is also a good option.
What dosage is recommended?
Again all woman and placentas are different. Listen to your body to determine what your perfect dosage is. Suggested dosage is 1-3 capsules, up to 3 times a day with meals for the first 10-14 days. After 2 weeks decrease the amount to 1 or 2 pills a day as needed. You can save the remainder in the freezer for PMS, stressful days, or menopause.
